We had David install a new boiler and hot water tank in our bed and breakfast. It was a monumental task that included the removal of the old equipment from a very small basement and splitting rooms so they could be on separate zones. He has amazing attention to detail and his work is spectacular and neat. Everything was at the time he stated and on budget. We are very pleased with our unit and the work completed. David Sellers Mechanical has installed two heating/cooling systems for us.  The first in an 1836 house and we wanted to be very careful that the system did not take away from the feel of living in an old house.  Dave provided the perfect installation and made the room units practically invisible.  We have been very happy with that installation.  Recently, we called him back for a new mini-split heat pump system for a cottage on our property.  We needed the job done rather quickly, and Dave came to the rescue. Very knowledgeable and professional. Was able to answer some brief questions and offered emergency services to the establishment I’m running during our time of need. Unfortunately I’m not the owner of said establishment BUT! this type of dedication and professionalism isn’t very common in the commercial sector.

David and his team were very accommodating to my schedule.  He installed five units in a new home I was building.  They first roughed in the units then, after I did insulation, drywall and taping, they returned to finish the install.  He and his crew were on time each day and worked the entire day. Dave and team did an outstanding job on 2 different installations.  The heat pump units perform as expected and the installation were done with care, skill and judgement pertaining to the esthetics of the units and our home. OK, I’m biased–I love the guy…

His background is in the printing industry downstate. In between his printery jobs in the 1970’s & 80’s, he also worked for a heating company that specialized in solid fuel boilers (wood, coal, waste oil).

In 1989, we decided to settle in the Adirondacks. As you probably know, factories are literally outlawed here, so there weren’t many Printing opportunities for Dave.

…So he naturally got into the Building Mechanicals field, designing and installing heating, cooling, and snowmelt systems.

And the rest is history. Dave’s been a Building Mechanicals designer and installer nonstop since then.

His experience ranges from commercial and industrial to large and small residential, and now he’s getting into the wave of the future: geothermal and solar applications.

Dave is well-known in the Capital, Saratoga, and Adirondack Regions (and beyond) for saving the day with his knack for troubleshooting.

But my mission is to help you PREVENT troubles by equipping you to Choose Your Options Wisely, and Hire Smart!
